It will discuss the definition of blended learning, the pedagogy underlying the practice of blended learning and its implication to the teaching and learning of the students, the role of teachers in the implication on blended learning design, technology and the role of teachers.

The role of Principal is central in determining the success of the students’ learning achievement. Many researchers have made efforts to investigate the role of principal as instructional leadership in developing the students’ learning achievements. Sergiovani (2009) as quoted by David Gray (2009), said, “When principals emphasize the building of effective learning and caring communities for teachers within the school, teacher learning improves and students’ achievement benefits as a result” (p.2). Sebuah frase menarik untuk di renungkan hari-hari ini: DON’T LET YOUR STUDY INTERFERE YOUR EDUCATION. Kata-kata ini saya dapatkan ketika mendengarkan sharing di meja makan komunitas di Manila. Ungkapan ini sederhana tetapi memiliki makna yang dalam bagi saya. Pertama, ungkapan mau mengungkapkan bahwa pendidikann manusia itu lebih luas dari pada studi yang sedang ditempuhnya sekarang ini. We live in a rapid changing environment. Change can means anxiety, fear, loss, danger, panic but on the other it means excitement, risk taking, improvement, energizing (Fulan: 2001; page 1). The change could produce positive or negative result, it depends on the capability of the leaders, the staff and the employees to response those complex changes. In this sense, rapid changes have led to the Human Resource challenges. The institution need to find qualified people, to maintain the best people they already hired and to empower them to be able to take action on the challenges they face in their work place.
